Most of tourist Cyprus either takes place on the coast or in the mountains. These pages showcase some of the less visited areas of Cyrpus - the Mesaoria and Wheat and Carob country. I've also added a few notes on dairy farming - it intrigued me as to how dairy cattle survive the heat - and the strange Chinaberry tree, known locally as the 'mavromata' that grows by many small-holdings.
